This is our first weather table of the year. Given that 2016 was an unbelievable record year for corn and beans we are using 2016 as the baseline comparison. As new monthly information becomes available we will update the table and attempt to draw conclusions as to the production.
Last year I was dead wrong early as I thought the odds were against 2016 production exceeding 2015 production. I have to say that my early attitude once again doubts that 2017 can duplicate 2016…but it would appear at this stage that North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Kansas, and Nebraska need to be watched very carefully.
